What is Expo 2020 Dubai?
Expo 2020 Dubai is an international platform where different people and countries gather to acknowledge innovation in humans' life. This event is held every 5 years in a different city. In 2015, Dubai gained the chance to host the World Expo in 2020.
The United Arab Emirates were more than happy when the decision was announced. This Expo will be an opportunity for Dubai to show its event management skills on a global level.
Let’s dive into more details and discover the thematic districts of Expo 2020 Dubai.
What is the theme of Expo 2020 Dubai?
The theme of Expo 2020 Dubai is “Connecting minds, creating the future”. There will be a dedicated site to host Dubai Expo. This is a huge building under construction. The architecture of the building looks like a giant element from the future. The design of each district and pavilion is trusted to highly known international engineering companies.
The site is divided into 3 main districts which are divided into dozens of national pavilions. Every district involves different countries around a common subject.

Opportunity district
The opportunity district wants to emphasize human power in changing and improving the existing world. The main objective of this district is to show the actual advancements of mankind. It wants to demonstrate the real and existing examples of achievements and challenges that we share as human beings. World Expo wants to change our thinking about various aspects of life: environment, food, and water distribution. The opportunity pavilion is made up of natural materials with respect to the sustainability norms.
The good news is humanity has achieved a lot of progress in medicine, technologies and fight against famine. The bad news is there are still people starving from famine and die from diseases. Millions of people across the globe didn’t benefit from humanity’s achievements.
The objective of this district is to bring up all the innovative ideas to create meaningful connections. This district wants to show us that every human being has a huge role to play. We must ensure that our planet is evolving to a better direction.
